Electroencephalography (EEG) at NCL

We use a 64-channel Magstim EGI Geodesic EEG System with a NA400 EEG amplifier. We use E-Prime 2.0 to design and collect data for behavioural and Event-Related Potential studies. EEG acquisition and analysis is performed by Net Station 5. We can also assess additional physiological measures such as ECG, EMG and Pulse Oxymeter, using Physio 16.

Research areas at NCL using EEG:

  • Spectral Analysis of Mental States

  • ERPs in Face Perception

  • Emotional Recognition

  • Behavioural Decision Making

  • Social Cognition
